TAPIF

The Teaching Assistant Program in France (TAPIF) is a highly competitive, paid opportunity that allows recent graduates and advanced undergraduates to spend seven months living and working in France as English language teaching assistants in public primary or secondary schools. Participants work approximately 12 hours per week supporting French teachers in the classroom, leading small-group activities, and contributing to lessons focused on oral communication and intercultural exchange. Beyond the classroom, TAPIF offers a unique form of cultural immersion, giving assistants the chance to strengthen their French, build professional experience in an international context, and develop a deeper understanding of French society and educational culture. The program is particularly well suited for students interested in education, international affairs, language studies, or graduate programs with a global focus.
